After we spent one day of the last weekend in Manhattan we decided to take advantage of the rental car today.During the week I had seen pictures of the Croton Dam so that became todays destination. The dam was built in the early 20th century and is part of the system that supplies New York City with fresh drinking water.
The pictures to the right are taken from the Croton Gorge Park right underneath the dam. On the top one I used a ND filter to slow down the shutter speed enough to get the nice blurry water, the bottom one is from the bridge that leads over the Croton river to the parking lot.
